Role Focus:

The APAC Head of HR will act as a business partner to our Client across the region. Responsible for ensuring consistency of approach in talent acquisition, compensation, and benefits, talent development, training, and HR Operations. Working in a matrix structure with multiple stakeholders the Regional HR Director will work with the Regional team to execute on HR strategies and initiatives. This role has a high level of autonomy to operate in conjunction with the agency heads in the region.

Key Responsibilities:


Ø HR Strategy, Leadership, and Coordination

Develop a strategic approach to human resources and the execution of these strategies.

Lead and support on a continuous change agenda advising on people's decisions to drive effectiveness.

Ensure that HR issues are given full consideration in all decision making.

Work with functional HR Heads in the market to develop appropriate human resource policies and standards to ensure effective, fair, and equitable management of employees throughout the organization.

Provide advice, information, and support to APAC Director, line managers, and employees on HR policies and procedures in line with best practice.

Focus on the continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures.

Ensure completion of the annual Employer code of conduct process and other global initiatives.

Prepare reports for management in relation to employee turnover; new hires; resignations; training and development, etc.

Ø Recruitment

Ensure that the recruitment standards in the region are maintained at the highest practicable level and are professional and rigorous.

Involvement in senior-level resourcing including interviewing candidates and ensuring onboarding is completed.

With the Regional Talent Acquisition team, build a strong pipeline of talent.

Support, communicate, train, and advise the management team on recruitment initiatives and interviewing techniques.

Stay abreast of market data for salaries to assist with salary planning and benchmarking for new roles

Coordinate recruitment with external suppliers (contingent workforce, search firms, job posting agencies, temporary staffing agencies, etc.).

Ø Talent Management & Retention

Executes talent, retention, and succession planning initiatives.

Working with the regional and global HR team on the Employer's talent management strategy and the annual talent review process.

Support, communicate and advise senior management on their talent development initiatives.

Ø Compensation and Benefits

Works closely with finance partners to consolidate Senior Executive compensation committee recommendations.

Ø Training and development

Works in line with Employer's regional/global resources to promote and arrange delivery of training that is directly relevant and beneficial to the operations.

Manage the annual training and development plan and budget and ensure that all individual training plans are followed up.

Ø Performance Management

Coordinate the performance management of employees of the agency including job description formulation, assessments, and promotions.

Implementing performance appraisals, training, and feedback across the agency in line with regional/global HR standards.

Drive best practice and act as counsel to management on all issues of employee performance.

Ø Legal and Compliance Practices

Ensures up to date employment policy in line with local legislation and Employer's policy are in place.

Continual policy and process development, and amending and implementing policies and procedures in line with company benchmarks and employment law regulation.
