Target and Purpose
  1. To evaluate the manufacturing feasibility in term of CNC trimming by simulation to ensure that the part design can be manufactured during RFQ (Request for Quotation) and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) phase.
  2. To evaluate the design of the trimming jig by simulation to avoid inappropriate design and cost waste.
  3. To code and optimize the trimming programs during process development phase.

Process activities / Main functions
  1. Evaluating the feasibility of part CNC trimming.
  2. Evaluating the feasibility of trimming jig design.
  3. Coding and optimizing the CNC program for the 3-axis and the 5-axis machine to reduce trimming time.
  4. Trimming the sample parts at the different phrases, making the parameter datasheet of the trimming process, and saving and updating CNC program.
  5. Adjusting the CNC program parameters to ensure that the dimensions are within tolerance after trimming.
  6. Training the CNC machine Operators.
  7. Working closely with Process Engineers to solve the problems of trimming during practical applications.
  8. Supporting any R&D activities/projects in Technical Department.

  2. Have the authorities of supervision and suggestion with maintaining tasks for the CNC machine.
Responsibility
What responsibility does the / the job owner?
  1. Being responsible for establishing the CNC trimming program and preparing the process parameter data sheet.
  2. Ensuring the trimmed parts are satisfies the dimensions and the appearance requirements.
  3. Providing suggestion and evaluation regarding to the trimming jig from practice experience perspective.
  4. Being responsible for managing 5S of CNC Office and CNC machines.
  5. Having responsibility for managing of process data.
  6. Being responsible for collecting the date of Quality Management System.
  7. Training and evaluating Programmers and Operators.
  8. Performing any issues that reported by Superiors.
