POSITION IN ORGANISATION : Reports to the Regional Sales Manager - South East Asia

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION : Responsible for providing full commercial sales support to the professional growers and/or the local distributors and optimizing the sales of our hybrid vegetable seeds in the given geographical area.




Description of responsibilities and duties:

 Optimize the sales of the company's full range of hybrid vegetable seed varieties in the area, by developing good relationships with all distributors, dealers, brokers, growers and any other (potential) customers in the area.

 Develop introduction plans for potential new commercial varieties and keep customers updated on new technical developments in the horticultural world.

 Develop yearly promotion plan and budget for leaflets, catalogues etc. and organize/ participate in local horticultural exhibitions.

 Organise product demonstrations (harvest festivals) to show product performance to growers and any other stakeholders.

 When required, organize visits of distributors and/or customers to demo's or any relevant location considered of importance.

 Supervises the team of Area Sales Specialists and ensures their performance in line with the their given targets.

 Develop and manage a yearly sales budget.

 Manage account receivables for customers in the area according to Enza guidelines.

2. Logistics

 Collects orders from customers and ensures on-time delivery of the products, in cooperation with the logistics department.

 Develops a pricing and discount policy for the complete product range, in consult with the Regional Sales Manager SEA

 Ensure orders are handled according quality standards and solves any possible quality matters. All product in the market falls under the responsibility until sown by the grower.

3. Technical

 Organize local product meetings and/or demonstration trials together with the Technical Manager to promote products, discuss and evaluate trials results and to discuss the performance of the varieties.

 Establish Regional Product Meeting reports for each relevant species and of all competitor varieties and their technical capabilities in the market and be able to position Enza varieties against them. These reports need to be regularly updated and discussed in order to create product models for the market together with the Technical Manager and Research teams.




Requirements:




Working in relevant work experience (5 to 8 years). Thorough knowledge of crops, cultivation techniques and market-geared knowledge preferable.

Excellent and clear communicative skills in English. Shows personal initiative, is flexible and pragmatic. Being part of a team, but be able to work independently. Ability to operate under pressure and be customized with computers.
