- Provide specialist advices and support the business in engagements with partners and the Executive Team on all legal related matters.
- Manage and co-ordinate the implementation and monitoring of the company risk and compliance.
- Be prepared to take on leadership responsibilities and actively participate in relevant internal governance committees as required. Take a leadership role in identifying and leading key strategic business issues in the legal space.
- Liaise and handle critical relationships with internal and external stakeholders as required (including the external counsel, the Regulatory Authority and relevant Ministries and senior public officials).
- Recruit, select, lead, coach and mentor other members of the team as required to help build a valuable and sustainable legal function for the business.
- Manage external legal/ regulatory partners and consultants in the provision of specialist professional advices and services where required.
- Maximise benefits of being part of the Company legal and regulatory community and comply with Company Regulatory reporting requirements.
- Assist in the evaluation and preparation of submissions relating to key matters and proposed legislation/ regulation.
