Head of IT

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Create an annual budget and conduct update presentations for the IT Dept
• Manage outsourced teams including Systems/Application Support and Network/Infrastructure Support
• Maintain infrastructure inventory and software license management
• Establish and maintain software vendor relationships for issue resolution, product enhancement, and product changes
• Communicate with and liaise between with various departments to assess their needs and develop and implement application/software changes
• Evaluate vendor presentations, test of concept, negotiation, and selection
• Manage projects, including change management and status updates
• Provide training for end users as needed
• Adhere to IT policies and procedures and perform business process reviews to boost efficiencies
• Maintain disaster recovery/business-continuity planning and provide hands-on support as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years’ experience managing a technical systems or IT department
• Prior experience managing a team in goal setting; planning, assigning, and directing work, performance appraisal
• Proven project management experience
• Superb communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
• Strong leadership, problem solving, change management, customer services, and project management skills
